Psychotropic Wonderland was created as a permanent archive for the music writings of Tony D’Amico. His primary writing venue has been Brainwashed.com since 2008. He also briefly wrote for Foxy Digitalis for awhile. He can be reached at psychotropic_wonderland@proton.me.
His mission is to celebrate the many psych, drone, electronic, outsider, and post-industrial artists and albums that keep him genuinely excited about music after all these years.
He lives in upstate New York with his girlfriend and two cats.
This site has three sections:
Current Album Reviews: Hot new reviews of current albums written specifically for this site.
The New Backwards: Hot new reviews of underappreciated classics and hidden gems that I have not previously written about. A chance to simultaneously right old wrongs & re-appreciate some unique and/or amazing albums that got lost in the endless flood of new releases. This is my current labor of love and these reviews will only appear on this site.
Archived Brainwashed Reviews: A stylish, searchable, and ever-expanding database of my selected writings for Brainwashed.com. As of May 2025, the archive covers 2018-2025, so there will be another decade’s worth of reviews being added daily for the foreseeable future.
